Jurgen Klopp has confirmed Darwin Nunez is an injury doubt for Liverpool’s Premier League game against Brighton on Saturday.
The Uruguay striker has been absent from training this week and although Klopp downplayed the significance of the setback, Liverpool could be without their centre forward at the Amex.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Klopp said: ‘If he cannot train today then yet that would rule him out.
‘We are waiting for information it’s not a major one but it’s kept him out of training so we’ll have to wait for that.’
Liverpool are also without long-term absentees Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz, while Roberto Firmino is still some way from making his return from what was originally described as a minor injury.
Klopp added: ‘It was a little injury, estimated to be 10 days or two weeks, all the experts told us what to do but Bobby felt something again.
‘I don’t know exactly when he will be back, but he is not close to team training.’
