Jude Bellingham’s family are pushing for the Dortmund star to join Liverpool ahead of Manchester City and Real Madrid this summer.
The 19-year-old is expected to leave the Bundesliga giants at the end of the season, when he’ll have just 12 months to run on his contract at the club.
Bellingham’s stock has risen significantly in the last fortnight thanks to his fantastic performances for England at the World Cup.
But the midfielder was already one of the most sought-after players in world football, with Dortmund valuing him at around £130m.
Real Madrid and Manchester City were thought to be leading the race for Bellingham given their financial advantage over the likes of Liverpool.

But Germany’s SportBild say Bellingham’s family and advisors believe he should join Liverpool instead.
The Reds are desperate for reinforcements in midfield and Bellingham would be a guaranteed starter at Anfield.
Added to that, Jurgen Klopp would be more willing to build his side around Bellingham rather than at the Etihad, where Pep Guardiola slowly embeds new signings.

Madrid have the likes of Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Eduardo Camavinga and Aurélien Tchouaméni in midfield, meaning Bellingham would likely be rotated.
Much will depend on Dortmund’s asking price, with the Germans reportedly seeking around £130m for Bellingham.
He could then command wages of around £300,000-a-week, which would rank him alongside Mohamed Salah as the highest earner at Anfield.
