Johnny Depp briefly reprised his role as the iconic Captain Jack Sparrow to make a terminally ill young fan’s dreams come true.
The 59-year-old starred as the pirate across five films in Disney’s hugely successful franchise, Pirates of the Caribbean.
Although he is confirmed not to be returning for a possible sixth outing, he found time to slip back into costume to surprise YouTuber Kori, who is battling a terminal heart condition.
The youngster, the face of Kraken The Box, shared the footage on his channel – which has racked up more than 300,000 viewers so far.
‘Captain Kori…,’ Johnny said through Captain Jack’s drawl. ‘I understand you’re quite the YouTube channel man.
‘What I’m saying is I shall be glad to follow your YouTube channel, and I shall tell all my friends to follow your YouTube channel.

‘I shall be there watching every moment.
‘I wish you the best of luck. I’m your number one fan, Captain Kori. All respect and love mate.’
Kori also shared a separate video of another phone call, where the Hollywood star ‘knighted’ him with Captain Jack’s sword.
His mom, Pixi, organized the virtual meeting through the Make A Wish charity, and it had served to lift his spirits during a tough time.

Kori was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome, and underwent an operation for a new heart in 2018 – however, this was rejected.
Last January, he had a second transplant but the organ was not accepted once again.
According to BBC News, he decided not to undergo another transplant following discussions with his medical team and his family.

‘He has always stated if he ever needed another transplant, it is something he would never go through again so the second they told me the news, I knew this was only ever going to go one way,’ the outlet reports that Pixi said. ‘There is no cure now.
‘The first transplant wasn’t easy but it went quite well. The second one was extremely traumatic for him.

‘It was extremely painful and drawn-out and he had to learn to walk and talk [again].
‘It wasn’t just his decision, it was with the medical team as well, and it wasn’t taken lightly, but he has had a big part in this decision and he understands what is going to happen.’
She added: ‘He is very positive and we are making the most of the time we have left.’
