Jeremy Clarkson seems keen to move on from the backlash to his Meghan Markle rant – but the internet will not let him.
The former Top Gear host made headlines for all the wrong reasons last week after he wrote a hate-filled column on his feelings towards the Duchess of Sussex.
Clarkson, 62, shared that he despises Meghan on a ‘cellular level’ and wishes to see people ‘throw lumps of excrement’ at her.
Writing for The Sun, he said he hates Prince Harry’s wife more than he does Nicola Sturgeon, the First Minister of Scotland, and the serial killer Rose West.
The Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? host said that he felt ‘sorry’ for Prince Harry, who he dubbed a ‘glove puppet’, claiming that the Prince is ‘controlled by his wife.‘
Clarkson – who struggles sleeping over his one-sided vendetta – also alleged that ‘everyone who’s my age thinks the same way’.

Despite being widely condemned by plenty of celebrities, the Clarkson’s Farm star proceeded to tweet his way through the World Cup final as if nothing had happened – even after his own daughter criticised him.
Taking to her Instagram Story over the weekend, Emily Clarkson made it very clear that her views did not align with he dad’s, writing: ‘My views are and have always been clear when it comes to misogyny, bullying and the treatment of women by the media.’
The 28-year-old said she stands ‘against everything’ that her dad wrote and showed her support for those ‘targeted with online hatred.’
When France took on Argentina as the football tournament reached its end, Clarkson shared his thoughts, writing: ‘Come on France.’
‘Really really. Come on France’, he later wrote.
But instead of joining in on his match commentary – which saw Argentina triumph – Twitter users only wanted him to address one thing.
‘How does it feel to be called out by your own daughter? Lol’, wrote one.
‘I’m glad that your Daughter is disgusted with your comments’, tweeted another.

Others branded Clarkson a ‘waste of space’ while claiming ‘the world has moved on’ from needing him on TV.
One angry Twitter user replied: ‘Stop trying to divert attention from your atrocious comments.’

‘Shame on you’, stated another simply.
Clarkson is yet to publicly address the widespread criticism he’s faced, despite the likes of Carol Vorderman and Dan Walker using their platforms to denounce his comments.
