Jeremy Clarkson revealed his co-star Kaleb Cooper wasn’t a fan of one of his recent ideas (Picture: Amazon Prime)
Jeremy Clarkson has revealed that one of his recent ‘stupid ideas’ displeased his Clarkson’s Farm co-star Kaleb Cooper so much that the 24-year-old farmer fled to Cornwall.
To kick off the new year, Clarkson opened up about his recent decision to try his hand at pig farming, but confessed Cooper wasn’t onboard.
‘Kaleb was so unpleased that he got into his pick-up truck and went to Cornwall for a week,’ Clarkson confessed.
Writing in The Telegraph, the Top Gear host said he’d decided to start breeding pigs because ‘they’re much cheaper to buy than cows or sheep’ and ‘produce more than one or two babies’.
Or, as Clarkson put it: ‘They hose them out like machinegun bullets.’ Lovely.
The journalist added: ‘So you buy 10 pigs for a few quid and three months later you have 10million. That’s profit, right there. Pure, naked profit.’

While it’s been a particularly tumultuous few weeks for Clarkson (we won’t be forgetting his vile rant about Meghan Markle anytime soon), the festive period has been abundantly merry for Cooper, who recently announced his engagement to girlfriend Taya.
Sharing the happy news on Instagram on Christmas Day, Cooper wrote: ‘She said yes!
‘2022 has been an amazing year. This definitely tops it off. I honestly can’t wait for 2023 and all the following years after that. @tayaaaxx your my best friend as well as the love of my life.’
He added: ‘Was a long wait for this (6 and a half years).’
While Cooper was celebrating one of the happiest days of his life, Clarkson was no doubt reeling over The Sun’s decision days prior to issue an apology over his Meghan Markle column.
Following intense backlash to the article, in which Clarkson said he hates the Duchess of Sussex on a ‘cellular level’, the newspaper said it is ‘sincerely sorry.’
In a statement, the newspaper shared: ‘In last Saturday’s Sun, Jeremy Clarkson wrote a comment article about the Duchess of Sussex. It provoked a strong response and led to a large number of complaints to Ipso, the independent press regulator.
‘In a tweet earlier this week, Jeremy said he had made a “clumsy reference to a scene in Game of Thrones”, which had “gone down badly with a great many people” and he was “horrified to have caused so much hurt”. He also said he will be more careful in future.

‘Columnists’ opinions are their own, but as a publisher we realise that with free expression comes responsibility. We at The Sun regret the publication of this article and we are sincerely sorry.’
The newspaper added that the article had also been removed from their archives as well as their website.
