Jake Paul isn’t the only one having to grapple with his huge loss to Tommy Fury, after the former Love Island star came out victorious in their highly-anticipated face-off.
Drake was so confident that the American was going to beat the British boxer that he placed a fortune on a bet… a staggering amount of money that he’s now lost, prompting a public apology from Jake.
The rapper, 36, appears to have been so disappointed not to have won his huge payout that he’s now deleted his Instagram post detailing how much he would have received if the tables were turned.
After it was announced that Tommy, 23, had beaten Jake, 26, in a split decision, the loser spoke out about Drake’s bet during a post-match conference.
Ahead of the fight, the Hotline Bling musician revealed on Instagram that he had spent $400,000 (£334,826) on the bet of Jake defeating Tommy in a knockout.
According to the odds at the time, Drake was due a humongous $1.44million (£1.21m) if his prediction turned out to be correct… which of course, it wasn’t.

‘Drake, bro… why do you do this to me? Nah, it’s my fault,’ Jake said during the post-fight interview.
However, he then remarked that $400,000 was ‘nothing’ to Drake, adding that the Canadian hitmaker has ‘won a lot more money betting on me before, so he’s probably about even now’.
‘Sorry, Drake. I’ll get that W in the rematch,’ he added.

This wasn’t the first time that Drake lost big after betting on sports, having also wagered away a fortune over the result of the 2022 World Cup, when Argentina beat France.
Straight after the result was announced in the ring, both Tommy and Jake expressed interest in facing up to each other again.
Tommy was in floods of tears as he gave an emotional shoutout to his girlfriend Molly-Mae Hague and daughter Bambi, who was born just a few weeks ago.
‘I want to dedicate this fight to my new baby girl Bambi at home and my Mrs, I love you. I can’t wait to see you,’ he said.
‘This fight was for you. It’s for you Bambi, I love you.’
