Jackass star Bam Margera has been released from hospital after being admitted with ‘severe pneumonia’ last week.
Earlier this month, the TV personality and stuntman, 43, tested positive for Covid-19 and fans were worried when it was said he had become ‘severely unwell’.
Margera, whose real name is Brandon Cole, was rushed to a medical centre in California after falling ill with the dangerous lung condition.
It was revealed by sources in the US that Margera was being assisted with his breathing by a ventilator while in an intensive care ward.
But if his latest post on Instagram is anything to go by, it appears things have really turned around for the skateboard performer over the weekend.
‘I’m out! Thank you to my friends, family and you for the love, support and prayers,’ he posted to the social media platform.
On Friday, Margera’s family had indicated on Instagram that he was on the mend after releasing a statement saying he was ‘on the road to recovery’.
They said: ‘Bam was recently hospitalized. Fortunately, he is now testing negative for Covid and receiving care for pneumonia. Bam is on the road to recovery.’
Bam’s time in hospital came shortly after he recently completed his latest court-ordered stay in a rehabilitation facility.
He was reportedly receiving treatment at a centre in Florida in September but was later revealed to have left the program.

Margera was said to have been announced as ‘missing’ from rehab earlier this year in June, which led to him being searched for (and found) by his parents.
He explained afterward that he was fearful of never seeing his son again if he stayed.
Born in 1979, Margera joined the Jackass crew after his CKY skateboarding video series was noticed by Jackass: The Movie director Jeff Tremaine.

Since appearing in Jackass, the former pro skateboarder has made many other TV appearances. He also produced, wrote, and starred in three other films.
In October, Margera’s co-star Steve-O, who has struggled with substance abuse in the past, said he was ‘never going to give up’ on helping Margera.
