Kanye West’s comeback isn’t going as planned… or maybe it is.

You’d think that sharing very explicit and inappropriate, half-naked photos of his wife, Bianca Censori, on Instagram would be enough to deter his most loyal fans, but it seems there’s still a pocket of people excited about his upcoming new album.

It’s been three days since the outspoken and controversial rapper was expected to drop his next album Vultures, a collaborative album with singer Ty Dolla Sign, but it was a no-show on New Year’s Day.

This was despite embarking on a promo tour that included a host of star-studded listening parties.

Instead, he shared explicit photos of his wife Bianca Censori on Instagram (Picture: @kanyewest, Instagram)

Release day came and went and the album was nowhere to be found. That’s not atypical for Kanye, 46, who has been known to repeatedly delay his records and even continue editing songs after they’ve been put out.

But instead of giving fans new music, he shared three shocking photos of Bianca, 28, wearing very little clothing with her nipples exposed while Kanye declared 2024 the year of ‘no pants.’

You think fans would be horrified, but it appears that they’re more concerned with his missed deadline than his unsettling relationship dynamic.

The couple just keep pushing the boundaries (Picture: @kanyewest, Instagram)

Among them, @spicedupriz demanded to know: ‘Kanye this, kanye that where the f is the new album???’

As the Gold Digger rapper faced backlash over his ‘creepy’, ‘humiliating’ and ‘scary’ photos of Bianca, @prince_princi1 tweeted: ‘I don’t even defend bro no more cuz either you get it or you don’t and a lot of people don’t get it so I simply don’t care.’

It’s not the first time we’ve seen Bianca, an architect at his design company Yeezy, scantily-clad but these are certainly the most explicit images of her yet.

I’m no prude but at some point, it’s important to stop looking at these people as untouchable celebrities and realise she is a young woman being so blatantly sexualised by her husband.

You could argue that Bianca is a grown adult who can make her own decisions but so much of this wreaks of Kanye trying to recreate what he had with ex-wife Kim Kardashian.

Kanye did sexualise Kim to a point but she had that image long before he came on the scene. The same cannot be said for Bianca who appeared to have much more of a tame image compared to now.

Since they got married a year ago, Kanye and Bianca have pushed the boundaries of public decency – whether that’s the rapper having his bum out on a boat or his new wife strutting around Italy in sheer revealing outfits.

However, even for those of us who have seen it all before, the explicit pictures he shared of Bianca online left many speechless.

This isn’t about ‘cancelling’ Kanye but the question shouldn’t be about when his new album is coming out or when his new Yeezy sneakers will be on sale, but about why people are still supporting his business ventures at a time when he clearly needs to be away from the spotlight.

Do you agree that it’s time to stop supporting Kanye West?Comment Now

Following his controversial statements about the Black and Jewish communities and the questionable sexualisation of Bianca, it doesn’t feel like the right time to cheer him on.

Kanye did recently offer an apology for his comments, which were deemed antisemitic – in 2022, he tweeted about going ‘death con 3 on Jewish people’ – but you have to question the sudden U-turn and timing of the statement given he made increasingly alarming remarks as time went on.

To note, he hasn’t apologised for denouncing the Black Lives Matter movement by declaring ‘white lives matter’ on a T-shirt that same year too. And many of us have not forgotten his suggestion that slavery was a ‘choice.’

As a longtime Kanye fan, it’s heartbreaking to see the downward trajectory of his career and also how he conducts his personal life. I’ll always enjoy his incredible catalogue of music, particularly albums one to five, but his increasingly concerning behaviour makes it hard to get on board with the artist he is now.

Maybe there’s a chance he’ll step away and redeem himself. Until then, it’s probably not a good time to be a Kanye fan.
