Jermaine Jenas says there’s no way back for Cristiano Ronaldo at Manchester United and that his time at the club is over.
The 37-year-old gave a bombshell interview to Piers Morgan on Sunday night in which he criticised Erik ten Hag, United’s board and former team-mate Wayne Rooney.
The interview came just hours after United’s 2-1 win against Fulham and it caught Ten Hag and the board by surprise, as they were not informed that Ronaldo had chosen to speak to Morgan.
Ronaldo was fined two weeks’ wages in October after refusing to come on as a substitute against Tottenham, choosing instead to leave Old Trafford early.
The veteran is set to be fined £1m for his decision to speak to Morgan without the club’s permission and for the nature of his comments.
Many feel the interview was designed to force United to make a decision on Ronaldo’s future and Jenas says he sees no way back for the striker at Old Trafford.

‘First of all, I’m totally baffled and confused as to why he’s done this interview. I think it leads you to just how Cristiano Ronaldo is obviously feeling right now and how he’s felt all season,’ Jenas told the BBC.
‘We’ve seen nothing but, almost petulance, throughout the whole year. I think the whole situation has been mismanaged by the club.
‘It enables (boss Erik ten Hag) to elevate his position at the football club when he treats Cristiano a certain way. It enables (him) to get the dressing room to fall in line. At the same time, Ronaldo has to behave in line with how the rest of the team does.
‘He can’t play him now. He can’t be involved in the team now.’
