A very scary situation to be in (pic: Metro.co.uk/Twitch)
Just as he was chatting to his viewers, Twitch streamer Avghans heard several gunshots coming from outside his house.
You never know what the camera might catch while streaming live, whether it’s good, bad, or just weird.
From a couple winning over £9,000 at a casino, to a streamer getting evicted while playing Disney Dreamlight Valley, there’s all sorts of incidents happening on Twitch.
This time Twitch streamer Avghans was just hanging around, happy to finally be home, when things took an unexpected turn.
The streamer was on a trip to Los Angeles, and after what felt like a million delayed or cancelled flights, he was able to make it back to his home in Atlanta, Georgia.
When updating his followers on Twitter about his journey, Avghans impatiently asked why he couldn’t just get to Atlanta and stream in peace.
Little did he know that after streaming for a few minutes, his broadcast would be interrupted by multiple gunshots taking place somewhere around his neighbourhood.
At first, they weren’t very loud and Avghans wasn’t too sure that it was gunshots, even asking his viewers if they had heard anything.
‘It feels good to be back in Atlanta. I’ll tell you that,’ Avghans said moments before another set of gunshots rang out.
He immediately went under his desk, visibly shaken by the sound, with his chat encouraging him to leave the stream and stay safe for the time being.
After checking in on his partner, he commented that he’s never heard gunshots so close to his house.
‘I’ve never heard it this close to outside before. So, it freaked me the f*** out,’ the streamer said.
He then added that that’s another reason he wants to save money and get out of the city, possibly relocating to Los Angeles, where many content creators live.

It’s still unknown where the gunshots caught in Avghans’ stream came from, with many of his chatters speculating it might have simply been fireworks.
Judging from the streamer’s reaction, the situation appeared serious, although it’s unclear whether the police were called to the scene.
This is not the first time gunshots have been heard during a live broadcast. Not too long ago, a group of friends in Italy were left terrified after a man fired a gun six times while they were streaming on Twitch.
In their case, the person who shot the gun was taken away in an ambulance, though they didn’t sustain any injuries.
