The Financial Times leads on how interest rates have surged to a 15-year high – with the Bank of England warning higher costs show no sign of easing. The paper reflects on Thursday’s move by the Bank which increased the base rate for the 14th time in a row, to 5.2% – which the FT spells out as “more pain for homeowners”.
