I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! star Seann Walsh has emotionally opened up about his relationship with his heroin-addict dad, saying he’s always struggled having structure in his life.
The 36-year-old entered the jungle late alongside former health secretary Matt Hancock, shortly after Love Island’s Olivia Attwood made an early exit.
Since then, he’s spoken out about his Strictly Come Dancing scandal, branding it the ‘worst moment of his life’ when he apologized for cheating on live television.
Seann hit the headlines in 2018 when he was photographed kissing his married Strictly dance partner Katya Jones while he was also in a relationship with his girlfriend Rebecca Humphries.
Shortly after, Seann quit drinking, saying ‘life couldn’t continue the way it was,’ and has now opened up about his upbringing.
He said: ‘This idea of structure in my life, this was one of the things I had to grapple with, after the Strictly stuff, you kind of realise that life couldn’t continue the way it was. Something had to give.

‘The booze had to go and I had to try to rebuild my life and I went to therapy and therapy was about trying to find order and structure and all this stuff.
‘That can be eye-rolling at times if you’re talking about it and listening to it.’
Seann, who is due to become a first-time dad after announcing his girlfriend Grace Adderley is pregnant, continued to The Mirror: ‘But that thing of finding structure you realise, of course, that came from having a dad who was a heroin addict.

‘If your dad’s a heroin addict you’re not going to be someone who wakes up in the morning and does a to-do list. That organisation isn’t going to be there.’
This comes after Seann spoke about the Strictly kissing scandal on I’m A Celebrity, telling Corrie actress Sue Cleaver: ‘To be totally honest with you, my poor ex, my girlfriend at the time, posted a statement,’ Seann replied, referring to the statement in which Humphries claimed his behaviour was controlling.
‘My girlfriend [at the time] posted a statement and that was the end of me.’

Seann added: ‘I said sorry. I sat on Jonathan Ross’s TV show and apologised. I sat next to will.i.am and Samuel L. Jackson and apologised. That will forever be the weirdest moment of my life and I have to say probably the worst moment of my life.’
Speaking in the Bush Telegraph, Seann went on to express his sincere apologies before sharing his hopes of moving past the scandal.
‘That’s something in my life that I don’t want to go back to,’ he said.
Rebecca Humphries’ full statement on Seann Walsh
‘My name is Rebecca Humphries and I am not a victim.
‘It’s incredibly good of Sean(n) and Katya to apologise in the media. I have received nothing, other than the support of my family, friends and a host of strangers on the internet who all wanted to make sure I was OK.
‘I was alone at home when Sean texted at 10pm saying the two of them were going for one innocent drink. We spoke and I told him, not for the first time, that his actions over the past three weeks had led me to believe something inappropriate was going on. He aggressively, and repeatedly, called me a psycho / nuts / mental. As he has done countless times throughout our relationship when I’ve questioned his inappropriate, hurtful behaviour.
‘But this whole business has served to remind me that I am a strong, capable person who is now free; and no victim. I have a voice and will use it by saying this to any woman out there who deep down feels worthless and trapped with a man they love. Believe in yourself and your instincts. It’s more than lying. It’s controlling.
‘Tell some very close friends who, if they’re anything like my wonderful network, will swoop in and take care of the logistics and of you. It’s important also to recognise that in these situations those who hold power over you are insecure and fragile, and their need for control comes from a place of vulnerability.
‘I think it certainly does in Sean’s case. Despite everything, I hope he gets what he wants from this. I’m not sorry I took the cat though.’

‘Obviously, I knew it would come up. They come up so naturally here. I just want to move on. It’s really nice to have people that will listen and are so lovely and wonderful.
‘I just want to be clear in that I’m very sorry about what happened and I really want this to be a positive experience and it really has been. I want to come out of here and move forward.’
I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues tonight at 9pm on ITV.
