I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here star Olivia Attwood has weighed in on Matt Hancock’s arrival in the jungle, saying he definitely has ‘questions to answer’ about his appearance on the show.
Olivia was forced to leave the jungle after ‘routine blood tests’ showed her to be ‘dangerously anaemic’.
She left before former health minister Hancock’s controversial arrival on the show alongside Seann Walsh, with campmates and viewers alike left unimpressed.
Giving her take, Love Island star Olivia said: ‘People weren’t expecting him to deal with it with humour, which is what he has done. I would have approached it with humour too. Not that any of what he did was funny but banter would have been the least he deserves, I would have enjoyed that.
‘Despite his obvious flaws he can laugh at himself which is always a redeeming quality. That said, he should have to answer questions.’
She added to the Mail On Sunday: ‘It’s funny to see him slimed and gunked but it isn’t funny if you didn’t get to hold someone’s hand when they died while he was snogging someone in his office.

‘NHS workers are protesting to get paid enough money to survive and he is out earning money in the jungle. That doesn’t seem right, does it?’
Olivia was devastated to leave the jungle, but ITV bosses ruled that she couldn’t go back to camp after her ‘worryingly low’ sodium and potassium levels.

She has since flown home and been reunited with fiance Bradley Dack.
Hancock has been voted to take on five Bushtucker trials so far, and has left campmates including Chris Moyles, Charlene White, and Boy George unimpressed with his arrival.
Shortly after Hancock announced his plans to head Down Under, he had the whip withdrawn as he was suspended from the Conservative Party.
Hancock explained in his jungle announcement that he intends to take up to three weeks off work to appear on the show – which is filmed more than 10,000 miles away from his constituency.
Famously, Hancock was the government’s Health Secretary from July 2018 to June 2021 – resigning shortly after CCTV was leaked showing him kissing his former aide Gina Coladangelo when social distancing measures were still in place.
I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here continues tonight at 9pm on ITV.
