I’m A Celebrity… South Africa star Janice Dickinson was convinced she was never going ‘to work again,’ after suffering a horrific fall during the show.
All the way back in 2007, the model made her first appearance on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, finishing as a runner-up behind actor Christopher Biggins.
The 68-year-old was the fourth campmate to have left the 2023 all-stars show, having withdrawn from the competition.
After taking a tumble in camp at night while going the long drop, Janice was assessed by the medical team on site.
As a precaution, she was taken for further tests in hospital, when it was deemed that to be safe, it would be best if she didn’t return to camp.
Reflecting on the ordeal, she said: ‘I thought, “Geez, I’ll never work again.”‘

She added to The Sun: ‘I thought that because I was badly damaged. Certainly too damaged to go back on the show.
‘I didn’t require stitches, but they had to really clean the wounds really well. It was agony cleaning all the dirt and gravel off of my face, it was horrible.’
After her exit from the camp, Janice wrote a goodbye letter to the cast.
‘Dear beloved campmates, never in my life have I had such an extraordinary experience with all of you animals,’ it said.

‘You are the new BFFs, loves of my life and I’ll miss you until I get to see you again. Kisses to all of you, I love you and miss you. Love, Janice. P.S. Joe I’m still p*****d at you and I’ll never get over it. Joke. All the love.’
The latest all-stars series saw TV personality Myleene Klass winning the title.
Speaking after her win, Myleene said being a mum felt like a ‘superpower’ this time around, and that she was driven to succeed to make her children proud.
She said being in the jungle had not only given her courage, but many life-long friendships.
‘You can’t do it alone… I am blown away at the friendships I’ve come away with.’
