Matt Hancock is set to face his third Bushtucker Trial since joining
I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! and some viewers are absolutely fuming.
The former Health Secretary – whose decision to head to Australia for the reality show while still being an MP has been met with controversy – is set to join Boy George when they head to La Cucaracha Cafe on tonight’s episode.
Mr. Hancock had been subject to criticism from fans before even entering the jungle with many people still upset over his role during the Covid-19 pandemic, and he has already done two tasks including going solo into the Tentacles of Terror where he bagged 11 stars for himself and his campmates.
The controversial politician held his breath underwater and stuck his hand into a cage of lobsters, as he went in search of the stars, and despite his efforts he’s been chosen by the public to face the first eating trial of the series.
While some people are finding it hilarious seeing him put through the challenges, others aren’t so sure.
One viewer tweeted: ‘Instead of voting Matt Hancock to do the trials can we just collectively agree to just simply ignore him then vote him out straight away. I’d rather not see him on my screen more than I have to. #ImACeleb’

‘Hear me out, Matt Hancock will win I’m a Celeb! Because the public will keep him in there to watch him suffer with trials. But will inadvertently vote for him to win,’ argued another Twitter user.
A third person wrote: ‘So everyone’s made their protest vote for Matt Hancock, he knows it and is succeeding. Please start voting for others otherwise it will get boring and predictable.’
Meanwhile, others pointed out that as well as the idea of constantly trying to punish the politician actually giving him more time in the spotlight, it’s also meaning other stars aren’t getting the same ‘experience’.

A viewer said: ‘Glad the eating trial has come early. This is the only trial Matt H should be doing then let’s get him out!! NO MORE TRIALS FOR MATT after this one. Let others have a go and have the full experience (sic)’
Another fan agreed, adding: ‘It’s not fair on the other celebs if Matt is voted for every one of the trials. Yes, ppl hate him so think that’s the way to get to him but other celebs want to have a go, that’s part of why they entered #ImACeleb (sic)’
Meanwhile, a preview from Friday’s episode has been revealed as Hancock and Boy George settle in for the first eating trial of series.
The Mexican-themed feast will see vegetarian George eat and drink things that, while may not be gross animal parts, will certainly not be easy – but Hancock is almost guaranteed to get a kangaroo testicle or too, judging from the previous 20 series of I’m A Celebrity.
I’m A Celebrity continues tonight at 9pm on ITV.
