It brilliant scenes to see out 2022, Hugh Grant appeared in Netflix’s Knives Out sequel, Glass Onion, in what may be deemed a superior film cameo.
Now he’s spoken out about his small but mighty appearance in Rian Johnson’s whodunit, in which he played husband to Daniel Craig’s Benoit Blanc.
His voice made the first entry, in the beginning of the tale, calling to Blanc through their bathroom door as the famous detective played Among Us on Zoom with Stephen Sondheim, Angela Lansbury, Natasha Lyonne and Kareem Abdul Jabbar. (Yes, the cameos are plentiful.)
He later makes a proper appearance towards the end, as the film begins to draw to its conclusion, as Helen Brand (played by Janelle Monáe) turns up at Blanc’s apartment, and is greeted by Grant’s Philip, toting a jar of sourdough starter. Lockdown vibes, and all.
