A semi-detached home on the market for £400,000 has sparked attention on social media due to its unique layout, which commenters say takes the term ensuite ‘to a whole new level’.
Located in Stoke, Staffordshire, the property comprises three bathrooms and three bedrooms.
There’s also a room that doubles up as both, featuring a toilet in one corner and what appears to be a child’s bedroom in the other.
Images (which have since been removed from the Rightmove listing) show a bunkbed and TV in a tiled room.
A toilet and a sink sit directly opposite, while a shower and frosted glass next to the Spiderman-themed bed hint at the space’s former purpose.
The house’s floorplan reveals that it was once a wetroom, but agents haven’t counted it towards the total number of beds or baths or mentioned its use in marketing materials.

Platinum Properties describes the house, which is split into two properties, as a ‘period property requiring modernisation whilst offering enormous potential’ boasting a left wing and right wing.
The ad also boasts a large driveway with wrought iron double gates, a car port, lawn plants, shrubs and trees on a highly sought-after road.
But the elephant in the room is actually a loo, and house hunters have likened the multifunctional space to Harry Potter’s cupboard under the stairs, while others compared it to a prison cell.

‘I assume the understairs cupboard was already occupied,’ joked one person, while another added: ‘This looks like a prison in a Louis Theroux documentary. Yikes.’
‘Mum, why is my bedroom window frosted over, and why do I have bathroom tiles round my bed?’ wrote a third commenter.
Others questioned the legality of the setup, with one saying: ‘Surely there has to be legislation that prevents children sleeping in the same room that people take a sh*t.’

Given the size of the property, there was speculation over why residents needed to convert this specific spot. Yet although there are a number of large rooms that don’t feature a toilet, it seems the home was occupied by two separate households, limiting their options.
And jokes aside, it is a beautiful property. With no upward chain, it’s private, spacious and has bags of potential for development.
The new owner can revamp however they wish, erasing all memory of the amalgamated bed/bathroom combo from existence. For anyone who gets up to pee a lot during the night, though, it might actually come in handy.
The home is on the market with Platinum Properties for an asking price of £400,000. Check out the listing and enquire to view via Rightmove.
