Home and Away star arrested after Australian manhunt
Australian actor Orpheus Pledger, former Home and Away star, has been arrested after a three-day police manhunt across the country.
Pledger, 30, is facing four charges for allegedly assaulting a woman, authorities say.
On Monday he had been granted bail to undergo a court-ordered medical assessment, on the condition he returned the following day.
But when he failed to turn up for court, police appealed for public information and issued an arrest warrant.
He was detained on Thursday, Victoria Police said. They did not offer further details.
Pledger’s manager told the Sydney Morning Herald newspaper that he had not been in contact with his client this week but that he had been shocked by the allegations of assault.
He also said his client had been struggling with mental health issues.
