Warren’s lives have run out, with little hope of being saved from death this time (Picture: Lime Pictures)
Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas) asked Norma Crow (Glynis Barber) to organise his funeral in Hollyoaks after discovering that she isn’t a donor match for him.
The show’s resident hard-man, as fans know, has been diagnosed with liver failure and, without a transplant, he is going to die.
Determined to keep her son alive, Norma offered to be his donor but subsequent scenes saw her attempt to renege on her promise, as she tried to force grandson Joel Dexter (Rory Douglas-Speed) to give a piece of his liver to Warren instead.
Warren was less than pleased about his mum’s attempts to back out of their arrangement, refusing to take anyone’s liver but hers.
Norma therefore agreed to get tested.
Warren has continued to struggle with his health in the months that have since passed, with scenes – broadcast earlier this week – seeing the gangster end up in hospital after taking a beating.
Warren received a devastating update (Picture: Lime Pictures)
Norma broke down in tears when she heard about her son’s hospitalisation and, in a rare moment of vulnerability, she admitted that she loved him.
Little did she know, however, that Warren heard every word, and Thursday’s (December 15) edition of the Channel 4 soap saw him confront her on the matter, ordering her to admit her feelings to his face.
Norma, however, refused, claiming that she was simply caught up in the emotion of it all, and subsequently cut ties with her son.

The Undertaker sought words of advice from Grace Black (Tamara Wall), who instructed her to fight for her Warren, and that’s exactly what she resolved to do, as she apologised to him for earlier events.
In a bid to show just how serious she is, Norma reiterated her intention to be his donor, but a shocking turn of events revealed that she’s not actually a match.
‘Looks like you’re going to have to do me a favour after all’, he said. ‘Organising my funeral’.
Norma was devastated. Is this really the end for Warren?
