Juliet Nightingale (Niamh Blackshaw) resolved to move in with Peri Lomax (Ruby O’Donnell) in Hollyoaks, after shaving off her hair amid her ongoing battle with cancer.
The 20-year-old discovered last year that she has Hodgkin’s lymphoma and has understandably struggled to come to terms with her diagnosis.
Her loved ones have rallied around her in a bid to support her through her fight, as she receives intense treatment, with Peri being by her side every step of the way, which led to the couple reuniting in romantic Valentine’s Day scenes.
Juliet, after lashing out and getting arrested, opened up to Peri about her fears, admitting that she doesn’t want to die. Peri reassured her that this won’t be the case, before assisting her in shaving her hair off.
Thursday’s (February 23) first look offering of the Channel 4 soap saw Peri bring Juliet to the gym so that she could reveal her new look to Donna-Marie Quinn (Kirsty Leigh Porter), who broke down in tears.
The gym owner later apologised for her reaction, admitting that Juliet’s new look simply took her by surprise, but reassured Jules that she looks great and that she’ll be more open and honest with her from here on out.

Peri, meanwhile, revealed that she and Juliet have decided to move in together, which came as a surprise to Donna-Marie, who had become used to looking after her daughter, though she knew this was the right move for the newly reunited couple, with Juliet branding them ‘solid’.
Peri and Juliet will be at the centre of a big episode later this year, with the couple heading to Brighton to have some fun, no doubt making memories that will last a lifetime in the process.

‘[Brighton] is very much a week where it’s like: “we’re alive and we’re happy to be alive. And life can be really rough but we’re just going to find the fun in it for a week”,’ actress Niamh Blackshaw told Metro.co.uk of the scenes.
‘They’re definitely out of their comfort zone, Juliet and Peri, and they’re definitely thrown into some interesting environments and meet some interesting people, but it’s really important, I think, for both Juliet and Peri to have this time together at this point in their lives.’
Hollyoaks continues Friday February 24 at 7pm on E4 or stream the next episode from midnight on All4.
