Honour is potentially set to make the connection between Mason’s behaviour and Eric’s influence (Picture: Lime Pictures)
Honour Chen-Williams (Vera Chok) was left in shock in Hollyoaks after taking a look at the text messages DeMarcus Westwood (Tomi Ade) had received from her own son Mason (Frank Kauer).
The psychiatrist was horrified to learn from Felix (Richard Blackwood) that Mason was the responsible for DeMarcus’ online torment, and thus she made it her mission to get to the bottom of what was going on.
Dave (Dominic Brunt) thought Honour was overreacting, and claimed that Mason simply needed some one-on-one time with his parents, as he set about spending the afternoon with his son.
Honour, however, believed there was more to it, arguing that Mason seems more ‘guarded’ than he did previously, and when she heard a notification coming from her son’s school bag, she decided to sneak a peek at the phone.
Upon searching through the device, Honour discovered the true nature of the vile texts Mason had sent, and she was left in complete and utter shock.
Will she reveal her discovery to Dave?
Mason, as viewers know, has been manipulated by radical misogynist Eric Foster (Angus Castle-Doughty), who has made it his mission to poison the teen’s mind with his warped viewpoints.

Will Honour quiz her son further about his vile texts and, if so, will she ultimately play a role in exposing Eric?
Discussing the importance of Mason’s involvement in the radical misogyny storyline, star Angus Castle-Doughty – who plays Eric – told Metro.co.uk: ‘I think the importance of Mason in this is that he’s such an undeniably sweet kid and it’s important to show – especially nowadays with everyone plugged in – the risk of losing sweet boys who are searching for answers and finding them in entirely the wrong places.
‘I think that’s more prevalent than we realise.

‘It’s easy to watch Eric and be repulsed by him and creeped out by him – it’s difficult when we have made these judgements already to see their vulnerability or the humanity. With Mason, you see this boy who is being torn apart from the inside.’
