This weekend may see the hottest day of the year so far, with temperatures hitting as high as 26°C on Saturday.
This rises well above the hottest temperature recorded this year so far, with Santon Downham Suffolk seeing 23.4°C on Thursday.
The Met Office said high pressure will push north and bring warmer and drier weather following heavy rain and thunderstorms over the bank holiday.
Met Office meteorologist Amy Bokota said: ‘High pressure is forecast to dominate the UK for the rest of the week and into the weekend.
‘High pressure brings dry and settled weather and with warm air sat over the UK this will give some pleasant warm temperatures.
