Call The Midwife star Helen George has confirmed her split from partner Jack Ashton.
The actress, 39, met Jack, 36, seven years on set of the hit BBC show.
Helen has played Trixie Franklin on the programme since 2012, while Jack joined the cast in 2014 as Tom Hereward.
Their characters actually had an on-screen relationship, with Tom proposing to Trixie before she called things off.
Off camera, it’s said they fell for one another while in South Africa, filming the 2016 Christmas special.
They also share two daughters: Wren, six, and Lark, two.

‘Our two beautiful girls remain the focus and I respectfully ask for privacy for this next chapter.’
A source also explained: ‘Helen and Jack’s decision to end their relationship has been amicable, and no one else is involved, they have just grown apart as a couple.
‘They are both incredibly committed to working together to be the best parents they can for their two daughters.’

While much of their relationship has remained private, Helen previously gave a rare insight into her romance with Jack.
In an interview in 2021, the actress – who previously married to Oliver Boot – said: ‘It’s not like you have time to have hobbies at the weekends.
‘You’re on set for a long time every day and you don’t get to see many other people.’
She added to the Daily Mail: ‘We are like-minded people who understand the industry, the career and the long hours.’
As for her career, Helen recently starred as governess Anna in a West End production of The King and I.
