Headbands: The trend that’s here to stay – How to wear, according to 8 celebrities

Headbands have had a serious makeover and the top accessory trend this summer looks like it’ll be around for a while. With celebrities from Zendaya to Kendall Jenner styling the many types of headbands out there – we’ve put together our favourite celebrity looks to give you some inspiration for the upcoming seasons!

The headband first came back in 2008, but then we saw nothing of them for a decade. In 2019 Prada sent some padded nylon headbands down its spring 2019 runway. Somewhere in the middle was Kate Middleton wearing a tiara-like headband and Kendall Jenner bringing back the cheap plastic headband.

So how headbands have become cool over school-girl starter pack?

Whether you want a padded, leather or embellished style, a headband is an easy way to crown the top of your mane. They’re also a great way to distract if you’re having a bad hair day.

It is fast becoming one of the fashion trends in 2023. Celebrity fashion 2023 is all about bringing back the headband.

Kendall Jenner

Hands-down our favourite headband wearer – Kendall Jenner of course, made this headband feel cool again. Kendall travelled the world wearing this stretchy black headband (yep, the same one you buy at Boots and use to push back your hair to wash your face) and wrote about her love for it on her website, boasting that she even rocked one on the Chanel runway in Paris. Chic and cheap!

Chrissy Teigen

Chrissy’s Jennifer Behr headband levels up your look. Layer your dress over jeans, and swap the Alexandre Birman heels for boots so you can wear this weekend brunch outfit even in the heart of winter.

Bella Hadid

Bella Hadid managed to work a stretchy ’80s headband into her signature athleisure-meets-sexy style, giving us another reason to wear the accessory post-workout. Now all you need to do is stock up on tiny cardigans and bike shorts for spring.
