An update to GTA: The Trilogy has sparked anger from the game’s developers, after the studio’s name was removed from the opening screen.
Remaster collection GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition should have been an easy win for Rockstar Games when it released in 2021, but the game was mired in controversy over its bug-ridden state.
Almost three years later, an update has given the compilation some notable upgrades, including better animations, lighting effects, and other visual improvements for GTA 3, Vice City, and San Andreas.
While there’s clearly some internal politics at play, it’s Rockstar that is primarily at fault here. They didn’t develop the remastered collection but they were still in charge of it and decided to release it in its bug-ridden state, instead of delaying it.
