BBC Radio 1’s Greg James isn’t getting anywhere fast on the roads this Christmas Day thanks to the chock-a-block traffic on the M40.
The presenter, 37, voiced his frustrations on social media while sharing a series of images from his nightmare journey, including the gridlocked cars on the motorway which had come to a grinding halt.
He also posted a frustrated selfie from behind his steering wheel, no doubt trying to entertain himself in any which way he could.
‘Merry Christmas from the M40,’ Greg captioned his post. ‘It’s one of those engines off and all the dads start opening the boot ones. Give my regards to your pigs in blankets.’
Lots of Greg’s followers took the time to helpfully remind him never to hit the road on Christmas Day.

‘Oh Greg,’ one said. ‘Never drive at Christmas. Regards, a professional motoring journalist.’
Echoing a similar sentiment, another penned: ‘Self-inflicted and bad planning. Never travel on Christmas Day unless you have blue flashing lights.’
Eek, not a lot of sympathy!

There had been traffic on the M40 between junction four and junction five due to an accident, with issues also reported on the M25 and M61.
Greg isn’t the only celeb whose Christmas Day hasn’t kicked off brilliantly.
