Daily Mirror – GP appointment scandal: Doctor won’t see you now 

The Daily Mirror reports that the number of patients waiting more than a month to see a GP has soared by up to 79% as NHS family doctors struggle to cope. One doctor is quoted as saying the “bottom line is we don’t have enough GPs”. The Department of Health tells the paper it is committed to improving access to family doctors, and is delivering 50m more GP appointments per year.
