Gogglebox star Pete Sandiford, who sits on the sofa beside his sister Sophie, resurfaced the drama surrounding This Morning hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby ‘skipping’ the queue to see the Queen’s coffin lying in state.
For the past several weeks, the ITV duo have been at the centre of controversy after they appeared in Westminster Hall to see the late monarch’s coffin, without taking part in the public line.
The pair later addressed the backlash in a statement and stressed they had ‘respected’ the rules set for the media.
Meanwhile, ITV strenuously denied that Holly and Phil did anything wrong but over the last month a petition to have them axed from the show continued to gain momentum.
And Pete has now reignited the drama after taking a swipe during Friday’s episode of Gogglebox.
The cast had been watching a Halloween episode of This Morning, in which a guest was talking about her future marriage to a ghost.

The guest revealed that her spirit-husband, for whatever reason, did not like Phil, which led to Pete making a cheeky dig: ‘She’s not going to mention the queue-jumping is she?’
Sophie was left in hysterics, as were viewers watching at home.
‘Pete – she’s not gonna mention the queue is she, That saga coming back to haunt Phil and Holly,’ one person wrote.
Shortly after, Sophie voiced: ‘Queue jumping b*****ds.’

Shortly after Phil and Holly were accused of ‘jumping’ the queue, they addressed the controversy during a special edition of This Morning.
Holly was heard saying in a voiceover in the segment: ‘Like hundreds of accredited broadcasters and journalists we were given official permission to access the hall.
‘It was strictly for the purpose of reporting on the event for millions of people in the UK who have not been able to visit Westminster in person.
‘The rules were that we would be quickly escorted around the edges to a platform at the back.

‘In contrast, those paying respect walked along a carpeted area beside the coffin and were given time to pause.
‘None of the broadcasters and journalists there took anyone’s place in the queue and no one filed past the Queen. We of course respected those rules.’

She added, however, that they ‘realise that it may have looked like something else, and therefore totally understand the reaction.
‘Please know that we would never jump a queue.’
Gogglebox airs on Fridays at 9pm on Channel 4.
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
