The PS5 must be doing well too (pic: Sony)
Sony’s latest PS5 exclusive is currently the best-selling video game in the UK and it’s likely to stay that way for a while.
With no major new releases until later in the month it’s unsurprising to find that there’s not much movement in the first physical sales chart of the year, although rather than FIFA 23 it is PlayStation 5 exclusive God Of War Ragnarök that has been number one for the last two weeks.
The first physical release of the year will be anime tie-in One Piece Odyssey this Friday, followed by Fire Emblem Engage and the non-Switch versions of Monster Hunter Rise the week after.
The early part of the year isn’t as busy as 2022, when so many titles were delayed from their intended Christmas release, but it’s still busier than usual, with the likes of Forspoken and Dead Space in late January, and Hogwarts Legacy and PlayStation VR2 in February.
