A German news reporter didn’t hold back in cursing in English mid-way through a summary of Liz Truss’ final days before her resignation.
Earlier today, Ms Truss announced she was stepping down as Prime Minister, after holding the role for only 44 days, during which the economy crashed and both her Chancellor of the Exchequer and Home Secretary departed.
Before becoming the shortest serving PM, an unprecedented night of chaos erupted in the House of Commons, as MPs voted against a Labour motion on fracking.
Tory MPs were ordered to oppose the Labour move to ban fracking to show their loyalty to Liz Truss, or face expulsion from the parliamentary party.
The vote chaos involved reports of Tory MPs reportedly ‘crying on the shoulders’ of Labour counterparts, and even claims of ‘bullying’ and ‘shouting matches’ amid last night’s mayhem.
Talking about the chaos, a German TV report pretty much summed it up, and since going viral, has had viewers in hysterics.

During the clip, Annette Dittert says: ‘You really can’t call it anything else anymore. This is a government that is clearly no longer capable of acting and these chaotic scenes here last night have made it clear to everyone that Liz Truss is simply no longer in control of the situation and her party.
‘There was manhandling in the lobby, where the votes are cast. Government members are said to have physically pulled other Tory MPs into the right box.

‘Then suddenly it was said that it was not a three-line whip, although this had been announced beforehand, whereupon the deputy leader of the parliamentary group left the parliament with the words “I’m f**king furious and I don’t f**king care anymore”‘.
The final words were spoken in English, before Dittert continued: ‘I won’t translate that now, but this is a party where all discipline has really broken down.’
Dittert, sharing the clip on Twitter, penned: ‘My take on today’s chaos in Westminster and also the first time ever I do swear in English on German TV.’

Commenting on the quick switch to English for the cursing, several social media users have voiced their hysterics.
‘I don’t speak German so this is pointless…oh no wait… make that priceless,’ one joked, while another wrote: ‘The best commentary on Truss resignation chaos from German TV (*absolutely must watch to the end).’
Someone else commented: ‘German TV news on what is happening in British politics is amazing. No need to understand German, watch to the end.’
This morning, Labour former minister Chris Bryant described politicians being left ‘utterly desperate’ after the disorder.

He told BBC Radio 4’s Today programme: ‘Honestly, this was the most extraordinary scene that I’ve seen in my time, and anyway, even if it has happened in the past, that is not how we should do our business – we are not the Italian parliament – and all of this is happening because there is complete chaos in Government.
‘There isn’t a Government.

‘And when the thread of Government sort of falls apart, this is what will end up happening day in day out: you will just have complete and utter chaos.
‘I had Tory MPs later in the evening literally, including one whip actually, crying on my shoulder.
‘They are in the territory of being utterly desperate about what’s going on.’
