The celebrities are celebrating following the men’s England cricket team’s ‘fabulous’ performance in the T20 World Cup final.
England secured a five-wicket win over Pakistan after a tense final in Melbourne, Australia, making them double world champions.
Ben Stokes in particular has reason to celebrate after finishing unbeaten on 52 as the star guided England to victory with an over to spare at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Following the win, the likes of Gary Lineker and Piers Morgan have congratulated the sporting stars.
‘Yesssss! @englandcricket have won the #T20WorldCupFinal. What a team. What a performance. Fabulous!’, tweeted an elated Lineker.
A very excited Morgan tweeted a photo of the historic moment on his TV, singing the praises of the team: ‘BOOOOOM! England win the World Cup .. again! The great @benstokes38 does it once more for his country. Cometh the hour, cometh the warrior. Congrats to him on a brilliant innings, @CurranSM on superb bowling, & @josbuttler & the whole team. Superb!’

‘Arsenal top of the League.. England world cricket champions… Not sure life gets better than this’, Piers followed up, dividing football supporters in the replies.
Rolling Stone Mick Jagger was also following along, and shared his joy.

‘Congratulations to the England cricket team! A great World Cup win !!’, the rockstar tweeted.
Footballer Harry Kane also wished the team good luck before they took to the pitch, saying in a video: ‘How are you doing, lads? Just wanted to send a quick message to say good luck for the final on Sunday. You boys have been amazing so far. Incredible semi final, I was here, watching it with the boys. Unbelievable, so, all the best, we’ll be watching.
‘Hopefully you can bring that trophy home, that whole country is behind you. Good luck and hope to see you all soon.’
Expressing his pride after the win, the footie star then tweeted: ‘Congrats!!! Unreal performance. You’ve done the country proud’.
After keeping his ‘fingers crossed’ that the rain would stay off for the big game, Labour Party leader Sir Keir Starmer congratulated the team.
‘Congratulations @englandcricket on a fantastic team effort to win the #T20WorldCup. To be the first men’s team to hold both white ball trophies at the same time is a great achievement,’ penned the politician.

England’s win is their second T20 world title following victory in the West Indies in 2010.
All-rounder Stokes described it as an ‘amazing night’ and said it felt ‘really good’ to lift the trophy.

Meanwhile, captain Jos Butler, told BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra: ‘It hasn’t sunk in at all obviously. What an unbelievable effort from everyone to win the game. I am a bit speechless.
‘It feels really different to 2019. It was a different time, difference place and a different group. I am just immensely proud. Both are just incredible.’
