Game of Thrones star Kit Harington kept schtum over a potential Jon Snow spin-off, but detailed how the ending left his character.
Reports of a Jon Snow sequel surfaced earlier this year, after Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) revealed that Harington confided in her about it.
In the finale, Jon made the heartbreaking decision to kill Daenerys after he witnessed her killing spree across King’s Landing, preventing her from finally achieving her aim of ascending to the Iron Throne.
Following the release of House of the Dragon, fans have been speculating if a spin-off featuring the legendary character….but nothing has been confirmed as of yet.
Addressing his highly-anticipated return at the Game of Thrones convention on Sunday, the 35-year-old actor: ‘So I think where we leave him at the end of the show, there’s always this feeling of like… I think we wanted some kind of little smile that things are OK. He’s not OK.
‘I think if you asked him, he would’ve felt he got off lightly,’ he added.
‘At the end of the show, when we find him in that cell, he’s preparing to be beheaded, and he wants to be. He’s done. The fact he goes to the Wall is the greatest gift and also the greatest curse.’
TV producer Daniel West, who developed BBC series Gunpowder alongside Snow’s actor Harington, is reportedly working on an ‘untitled’ limited series for HBO.
While nothing has been officially confirmed or given the green light by HBO or Harington himself, that hasn’t stopped intense excitement from brewing.

On Reddit, the news was shared by user Mamula1, who said: ‘As we expected, [Daniel] is probably working with Kit on Jon Snow’s sequel.’
‘And we have confirmation that this will be limited series,’ which likely means that the Jon Snow sequel – reportedly entitled Snow – will run for just one season.

A Song of Ice and Fire author George RR Martin, upon whose books Game of Thrones was based, also appeared to confirm his involvement with the sequel soon after the rumours surfaced.
Addressing the news, he said: ‘It seems as though Emilia Clarke has already mentioned that Snow was Kit’s idea in a recent interview.
‘So that part is out. Yes, it was Kit Harington who brought the idea to us,’ he confirmed on his blog page, which he updates periodically.
