This healing spray is great for holidays
We love summer (whenever it decides to show up, that is) but we do not love its best mates, chafing, sunburn and mosquito bites.
But, an apparent hero product has emerged, according to shoppers, and while the bottle isn’t much to look at, people are hailing this Active Skin Repair spray as saving summer.
You can slather yourself in all sorts of potions and lotions to ease the discomfort, but there’s one spray that purports to essentially be our skincare saviour and we can’t say we’re not intrigued by the idea.
According to the brand’s modus operandi, it aims to help skin repair faster from the mosquito bites you’ve scratched to oblivion to the scrapes the kids have got in the playground. Apparently, it’s a crafty little liquid.
It claims to repair minor wounds, cuts, scrapes, sunburns, normal burns, chaffing, rashes, insect bites, and other skin irritations and we can only assume it’ll also change the oil in our car and tell us when we’ve run out of milk.
If it does deliver on what it claims to, it’s not too spenny, at $27.50 (£21.38) – but shoppers seem pretty impressed as we scroll through the reviews.
Active Skin Repair
‘Long story short, I face planted & scraped my face. Ordered this & after 3 days you couldn’t even tell,’ one impressed shopper wrote in an Amazon review for the spray.
‘It wasn’t a small injury, the entire right side of my forehead was scraped up like someone had taken sandpaper to it, & this stuff left me with barely a mark after 72 hours of use. I put it on abt 3x/day & it was like watching a miracle.’
A miracle to some, another shared a word of advice, warning that ‘it is runny and a little hard to control’, while one shopper noted it didn’t make a difference to their wounds and insect bites.
Be that as it may, one user said it was ‘worth every penny’, writing: ‘Came home from visiting family in Florida with a slight sunburn, tons of mosquito bites and a horrible break out from all the sunscreen and sweat. I tried all my usual tricks to alleviate the discomfort caused by these things and genuinely nothing was working.
‘My sister told me about this product ages ago and I called her immediately to remind me what the name was. I overnighted it and started using it as soon as I opened the box. Within an hour I saw a noticeable difference and felt it too…’
How does it work? According to the brand, it’s down to the active ingredient hypochlorous (HOCl), which experts recommend to help combat common skin problems including acne, eczema, and psoriasis. It’s naturally produced by white blood cells in our bodies and is said to disinfect the skin, reduce pesky inflammation and speed up natural healing processes.
Skin Repair Spray is also non-toxic, antibiotic-free and non-sensitising (which means it has no sting, thank GOD).
These reviews are pretty astonishing.
