Fortnite – some characters, like Dr. Doom, are unfortunately absent (pic: Epic Games)
No one knows how long it’ll last, but the Fortnite store is chock full of Marvel cosmetics from the game’s old crossovers.
Marvel has been one of Fortnite’s most frequent collaborators since 2018, and it’s easy to understand why. Aside from Marvel’s many comic book franchises being incredibly popular, the company has a surplus of characters it can lend to the battle royale.
Over the last several years, the likes of Iron Man, Wolverine, and Captain America have all been added as playable skins. However, these skins were only ever available for a limited time, meaning latecomers have missed out on obtaining certain characters.
However, with surprisingly little fanfare, Epic Games has now filled the in-game store with almost every Marvel cosmetic Fortnite’s ever had (including skins, emotes, gliders etc.), from some of the earliest additions like Thanos to the more recent characters like the Hulk.
The official Fortnite website and social media accounts have made no attempt to advertise this nor explain why this has happened.
However, it’s been noticed that today would’ve marked the late Stan Lee’s 100th birthday. So, this is no doubt meant to serve as celebration of the occasion.
Lee is regarded as a comic book legend, responsible for co-creating multiple iconic Marvel characters such as Spider-Man, Black Widow, and the Fantastic Four. He died in November 2018 aged 95.
Since Epic Games isn’t advertising this anywhere, there’s no telling how long all these Marvel cosmetics will be available in the in-game store.
Assuming the sale will only last until the end of the day, you’d best snap up as many of these cosmetics as you can. Who knows when or if some of them will be brought back in the future.

Superhero fans have also been treated to the inclusion of characters from the hit manga/anime series My Hero Academia as part of the current season.
Unfortunately, less than a week after they were added to Fortnite, Epic Games had to remove main character Deku’s signature Smash attack due to ‘an issue’.
The attack remains unavailable and Epic Games never explained what the problem was to begin with, leaving fans to speculate that it was simply too powerful.
Fortnite is available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
