FLOTUS Roasted Over White House Christmas Tree
For her last holiday season as First Lady, Melania Trump has started to oversee the White House’s Christmas set up.
On Monday, November 23, the White House’s official tree arrived, where it was greeted by FLOTUS (Donald Trump did not attend). “Each year the arrival of the #WHChristmas tree brings a spirit of holiday warmth & tradition to the @WhiteHouse. This year’s tree will continue to bring joy to those who will pass through the halls of the White House during this most wonderful time of the year,” she tweeted, alongside a video of the tree’s arrival.
“Today I welcomed the arrival of the beautiful @WhiteHouse Christmas Tree! We are excited to begin decorating the People’s House for the holiday season! #WHChristmas,” she added in another tweet.
It’s all traditional behaviour of a First Lady but with Melania, it’s a whole other story. For the last couple of years, social media users have mocked FLOTUS for her holiday decor choices. And her recently leaked comments about how she allegedly really feels about all this pomp.
“I’m working…my ass off on the Christmas stuff, that you know. Who gives a fuck about the Christmas stuff and decorations? But I need to do it, right?” The first lady is heard telling her former friend and aide Stephanie Winston Wolkoff in a leaked convo that went viral earlier this year. “Okay, and then I do it and I say that I’m working on Christmas and planning for the Christmas.”
People on Twitter took those comments and ran with them.

Outgoing First Lady Melania Trump – who once said she resented the burden of having to decorate the White House for Christmas – will skip the unveiling of this year's holiday décor. White House says: "The First Lady will not be in attendance."
