The first trailer has been released for A Good Person, starring Oscar nominee Florence Pugh in a lead role directed by her ex-boyfriend, Zach Braff.
The Don’t Worry Darling star, 26, who split from her 47-year-old former partner in August after three years together, is also a producer on the title alongside him, as well as Killer Films and Elevation Films.
She leads the hard-hitting drama, also written by Zach, opposite Hollywood legend Morgan Freeman in the Sky Original film.
Florence is Allison, a young woman whose world falls apart when she survives an unimaginable tragedy, whilst in recovery for an opioid addiction and unresolved grief.
She forms an unlikely friendship with her would-be father-in-law, Daniel (Freeman) that gives her a fighting chance to put her life back together and move forward.
The trailer shows Allison’s life start to crumble as her engagement ends after she accidentally causes the death of her fiancé’s sister in a car accident.

When she attends a meeting to find help for her addiction, she runs into Daniel who tells her: ‘Don’t run away now because of me.’
‘There are thousand of meetings, I’ll find another one,’ she responds as she tries to leave, before Daniel finishes: ‘And somehow you found your way to this one.’
Ahead of the trailer dropping on Thursday, Florence took to Instagram to excitedly share a picture of herself as Allison.
She then followed up with the trailer, while Zach did the same, saying she was ‘so proud’ of the project and grateful to those who had ‘jumped on board this crazy journey with us’.
‘Here she is. First trailer to A Good Person is FINALLY HERE,’ she wrote.
‘This is the first time I’ve had the pleasure and the privilege of watching how the art is made from the very beginning to the very end.
‘I am so proud of this creation, I’m so grateful to all those who jumped on board this crazy journey with us.’
The Little Women star and Scrubs actor still appear to be on good terms, following their separation.

Florence, who had previously spoken out against critics of their 21-year age gap, confirmed in the summer that the pair had split earlier in 2022 and had done so quietly, as everyone had ‘opinions’ on their relationship.
Florence admitted at the time that she still got ‘a lumpy throat’ when she talked about it, however the initial pain of their split appears to have abated.
Last month, they as they enjoyed a cheeky exchange on social media when Zach shared an opportunity for Scrubs fans to win a Zoom call with him and co-star Donald Faison, with all proceeds going to a US war veteran charity.
Florence, who recently appeared in Irish Netflix film The Wonder, added her two cents, writing: ‘I’m deffo bidding on this.’

To which Zach responded cheekily: ‘I’m certain you could get this for free.’
He added: ‘But it is a very good cause for veterans…’
Little Women star Florence opened up about her and Zach’s split in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar in September, saying they tried to break up ‘without the world knowing, because it’s been a relationship that everybody has an opinion on.’

She explained: ‘We just felt something like this would really do us the benefit of not having millions of people telling us how happy they are that we’re not together.
‘So we’ve done that. I automatically get a lumpy throat when I talk about it.’
A Good Person is set to be released in cinemas in March 2023, before launching on Sky Cinema in April 2023.
