The King of Spain, Felipe VI, has recognized the role of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce on the occasion of its 10th Anniversary: ”Internationalization continues to be essential for companies to access new markets and diversify their income. In this sense, there is “we must highlight the work of the network of Chambers abroad”.

The monarch has not forgotten those affected by DANA on the 10th Anniversary of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce (CCE). In this way, Felipe VI has called on companies to use the Solidana.es platform to help fellow businessmen who have to move their businesses forward.

The King of Spain did not want to forget about small and medium-sized companies, asking for “solid support to maintain and grow”, as they are the driving force of the economy and the most sensitive due to uncertainty and the need to adapt to new regulations and trends.” .

On the occasion of the 10th Anniversary, its president José Luis Bonet has reviewed the last 10 years of the Spanish economy in which the main body of the Spanish chambers has been present.

And since 2014, with the Basic Law of the Official Chambers, Bonet has highlighted the involvement of companies: “All the actions we have carried out have had as a goal. The Spanish chamber could not have arrived without the involvement of the companies in our plenary session. These great companies not only provide the necessary support, but also contribute generously to the constructive function.

In this sense, the Minister of Industry, Jordi Hereu, has highlighted the work being carried out by the Chamber of Spain: “I want to reaffirm the commitment of the Government of Spain to your project, of which we are part and with which we work every day. every day.” And, in negotiations at an international and local level, “you are a point of connection and redistribution of benefits and that is why you are an essential node in the economic and social development of the country,” Hereu declared.

Representatives of the Chamber of Valencia and Zaragoza and the Secretaries of State for Digitalization and Commerce were also present at the commemorative event.

Firstly, José Vicente Morata, president of the Valencia Chamber of Commerce, has denounced the situation in which “older” businessmen find themselves in the areas affected by DANA and their almost impossibility of accessing credit to recover their businesses: ” This non-refundable aid is essential,” Morata argued. To which Jorge Villarroya, president of the Chamber of Zaragoza, has continued along the same lines: “The Chambers of Commerce began with trade in primary sectors, which evolved and with services and industrialization, internationalization and chambers. have always been helping SMEs.”

Both María González Veracruz, Secretary of State for Digitalization and Amparo López Senovilla, Secretary of State for Commerce, have highlighted the success of the aid intended for companies such as Kit Consulting, which have been achieved with the help of the Chambers of Spain : “It would not have been possible without the capillarization of the Chambers of Commerce of Spain. This is the greatest example of where we have to work to continue making Spain today the country it is. This great country is written together, with the collaboration public-private”. Meanwhile, Senovilla has reported that it has already paid some 144 million euros in aid to companies affected by DANA and promises that “we will continue working to solve it as soon as possible.”
