With half-term now firmly on the horizon, many families will look forward to spending quality time together.
Unfortunately, planning family days out can easily end up getting quite expensive if left unchecked – especially during a cost of living crisis and high inflation.
That said, whether it is trips to the Zoo or cheap film tickets, there are plenty of activities to do with children this half term that won’t break the bank.
But what happens when the little ones start to get hungry?
Fortunately, there are also many restaurants and cafés offering ‘kids eat free’ or cheap food deals this half term.
Here is what you need to know.
Where do kids eat cheaply?
Several restaurants offer cheap food deals for kids this half term, but many will prove especially busy during the holiday.
As such, if you’re planning a day out, it’s worth looking to book ahead where possible and applicable.
Some deals also require downloading an app or booking in advance, so always check the terms and conditions.
Many supermarket cafes also offer cheap deals for kids, meaning you can grab a bite after the weekly shop without spending a fortune.
YO! Sushi
If you fancy taking the family out for sushi, YO! Sushi restaurants are offering a free kids meal deal bento box per child when they are accompanied by a paying adult.
One child can eat for free for every £10 spent on food by an accompanying adult, and the deal is available all-day Monday 13 to Friday 24 2023.

Frankie & Benny’s and Chiquito

IKEA
While assembling flat pack furniture probably isn’t the way you will be choosing to bond with your little ones over half-term, a trip to pick out some new plush toys or some bedding can also include a cheap trip to the café.
