Madonna fans trying to buy presale tickets for The Celebration World Tour have been left dumbfounded by their price.
Following a bombshell announcement on January 17 that the pop icon would be touring her greatest hits from her 40-year career, fans rushed to their computers as tickets went on sale at 9am today.
The only UK date Madonna has announced is on October 14 at London’s O2 Academy, and the only fans so far that have had a bite of the apple are her fan club members and O2 Priority customers.
Today’s batch is now sold out, but presale super-fans are also in with a shot tomorrow at 9am with LiveNation.
For those pinning their hopes on general admission tickets, that’s on Friday, January 20 at 10am via Ticketmaster and LiveNation.
But hold your horses, because there’s one little snag that might scupper your Material Girl dreams: the price.

Presale hopefuls took to social media in a rage this morning, with many sharing screenshots of prices starting at £93.60 For Level 4C tickets and soaring to £436.85 for a space in the floor seating area.
According to The Liverpool Echo in the first few minutes of the 9am presale opening, prices were seen to start at £47.55 for standard seated tickets, and rose up to £1,306.75 for chosen VIP packages with hardly any options under £400 after not too long.

One fan wrote: ‘Oh these concert ticket prices are getting ridiculous now. Pretty much £100 for Level 4 at the O2?!! People need to stop buying tickets at this price so they will do something about it. It makes me angry.’
Another said: ‘Those madonna ticket prices are insane! who’s paying that much i just wanna know.’
The inflated prices could be partly due to Ticketmaster’s controversial pricing system, where they don’t publish costs ahead of time, but fluctuate them depending on demand.
Let’s hope the ticket price shock hasn’t completely dampened what was a serious buzz surrounding the tour announcement, which came via a video of what appeared to be a parody of the Queen of Pop’s 1991 tour film, Truth or Dare.
This time around, Madonna is seen playing the age-old game with various celebs, including Lil Wayne, Amy Schumer and Jack Black.

When Amy Schumer dares Madonna to embark on a world tour celebrating all of her greatest hits, the Like A Virgin singer asked her star-studded entourage whether they thought anyone would turn up (they did).
Then the star said: ‘The answer is – f*** yeah.’
The Celebration tour will begin on July 15 in Vancouver and will then casually hop to 25 US venues before embarking on the European leg, the first gig of which will be in London’s O2 on October 14.
The tour will end in Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome on December 1.
Unlike Madonna’s recent tours, which have featured largely new music, the Celebration tour will be an epic retrospective of her best hits over the last 40 years.
