Family of Chris Kaba say his past ‘didn’t give police the right to kill him’

The Metro says The family of a black man shot dead by police while he was unarmed say his criminal record didn’t give officers ‘the right to kill him’.

Chris Kaba, 24, was killed by a single bullet while behind the wheel of an Audi 4×4 which had been hemmed in after a pursuit in Streatham Hill, south London, on September 5.

His cousin Jefferson Bosela has now hit back at speculation over the circumstances of the incident, which has included online trolls suggesting Chris’ previous convictions meant he deserved his fate.

Reports suggest Mr Kaba, who was expecting a daughter, had served two to three years in a young offenders’ institute for possessing a firearm over an incident which took place while he was a teenager.
