Eugene Levy has listed his top recommendations for anyone visiting Schitt’s Creek (Picture: PA)
Eugene Levy has revealed exactly where he’d take tourists visiting Schitt’s Creek.
The star was, of course, speaking from Johnny Rose’s perspective – the character 76-year-old Eugene plays in the award-winning sitcom of the same name.
For anyone slightly confused, Metro.co.uk caught up with the Canadian comedian at the European premiere of his new show, The Reluctant Traveller, which sees Eugene visit some of the world’s most spectacular destinations with searing reluctancy.
The Reluctant Traveller is a total hoot and starts streaming later this month on Apple TV+.
In the show, Eugene visits all manner of hotels and speaks to all manner of hotel owners, many of whom offer him recommendations for the local area.
Of course, in Schitt’s Creek, Eugene’s Johnny is the owner of the Rosebud Motel, and we couldn’t help but wonder where his first port of call would be if he were welcoming tourists to the town for tours.

Needless to say, Eugene gave one hell of an answer and made sure to name-drop some of Schitt’s Creek’s most famous spots.
‘Well, I’d have to take them of course to the Café Tropical for a sumptuous meal, there’s no question about it,’ he began.
‘A little tourist trip to Bob’s Garage to see exactly what Bob does and how slow he does it,’ quipped Eugene, before adding: ‘And then to get some trinkets and souvenirs to take back from Rose Apothecary.’

‘I would avoid the Roland Schitt house,’ he added firmly.
The doting dad also opened up about his new show, which takes him to places like Finland, Italy, Japan, Portugal and South Africa.
Asked what episode was his favourite to film, Eugene shared: ‘My favourite episode, the one I had the most fun in, was Finland.
‘The people I was working with and dealing with on the show had a great sense of humour.’
The worst? That would be his stint in Costa Rica, which doesn’t come as much of a surprise seeing as he came face to face with a venomous viper while walking through a rainforest in the middle of the night.

Eugene explained: ‘The worst I would say was going on a night hike in the rainforest. I truly did not enjoy that for a number of reasons. A lot of it having to do with creepy crawlies.’
The Reluctant Traveller will premiere globally on February 24 on Apple TV+.
