EU create Covid-19 passes for summer travel, boosting tourism
EU citizens can start to prepare for summer holidays in the bloc’s 27 nations with no fears about having to quarantine, says Euronews. Adding, they should be able to travel freely across the EU soon.
EU legislators and members of the bloc agreed to launch Covid-19 certificates before the height of the summer holiday seasons. The move is set to boost travel and tourism following the restrictions of the pandemic.
Euronews says the various players were able to ‘reconcile their differences’ and pave the way for the trans-border travel passes to be introduced. It is expected to start by July 1.
