Not long to go! (Pictures: ITV)
As Emmerdale’s 50th anniversary nears ever closer, stars including Olivia Bromley are continuing to tease what’s ahead during a very dramatic week.
Olivia, who plays Dawn Taylor in the ITV soap, appeared on Saturday’s (October 8) edition of James Martin’s Saturday Morning cookery show to discuss what it’s like being a part of the Emmerdale cast just days away from the incredible milestone.
Aware that Emmerdale would really up the stakes, James said: ‘The storyline on this one must be incredible!’, to which Olivia replied:
‘I mean, every October we usually have this thing called super soap week, which is like a big stunt [and involved Survival Week last year]. This year, obviously we’ve got the 50th, so it’s massive and it’s very soapy and very dramatic, and we’ve got some crazy stunts, and it’s been really fun!’.
Olivia’s character Dawn recently welcomed young Clemmie into her and Billy’s (Jay Kontzle) life.
She was given the news that Clemmie and her son, Lucas, share a dad, and along with Billy, they’ve been trying to get her settled into normal living after being neglected by her mother.

Elsewhere, to continue Emmerdale celebrations, the soap recently released an image from a special anniversary shoot which transformed five of the key young cast members back to 1972 – the year in which the show began.
Stars Jessie Elland, Rosie Bentham, Katie Hill, Daisy Campbell and Karene Peter donned vintage style outfits to pay homage to the decade – and many who remember the show from its humble beginnings as Emmerdale Farm, will surely recall the fashion vibe of the 70s.
