Mandy and Paddy remain great friends after their relationship (Pictures: ITV)
With Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) still struggling in the aftermath of Al Chapman’s (Michael Wildman) death in Emmerdale, it has left us wondering just how much longer Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) will remain in the dark about his wife’s affair.
One person who will no doubt offer a shoulder to cry on when the secret is eventually revealed is Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley), someone Paddy was previously in a relationship with.
Despite the changes in their lives, Mandy and Paddy have remained great friends – but could it lead to something more?
‘The world needs Mandy and Paddy together, but I can’t tell you anything’, Lisa Riley recently teased to the Daily Star.
‘Me and Dom are the best of friends and have been since we were teenagers, we’re like brother and sister at work.
‘We love working together, that’s all I can say, but we wouldn’t want to do it so quickly, we want to keep the audience guessing because it’s what the audience want.’
Chas recently supported Kerry, who was engaged to Al (Picture: ITV)
As Paddy continues to go about his daily life, being the kind and loving husband he is, Chas paid a visit to Cain (Jeff Hordley) last night, who’s currently behind bars covering for Kyle (Huey Quinn) – his young son who murdered Al.
Chas didn’t waste time asking her brother how he was coping behind bars, because there was only one item on her agenda – herself.
She told Cain about Kerry (Laura Norton) finding out that Al was having an affair, and about Chloe’s suspicions. Cain wondered why she didn’t just tell everyone the truth.

Chas also told her brother that she loves Al and misses him. ‘I’m dying inside and there’s no one else I can talk to,’ she said. ‘I’m so lonely, Cain.’
Again his reply was scathing. ‘You’re so lonely?’ He said he missed Moira and the kids and left her in no doubt that he blamed her for the entire situation.
‘If I didn’t think this would kill Paddy I’d tell him exactly what kind of a person you really are,’ Cain said. ‘Don’t come visiting again because you’re as dead to me as our mother.’
Ouch.
Will Paddy find comfort in the arms of Mandy when the affair is inevitably revealed?
