Mary (Louise Jameson) is the epitome of resilience, having held her head high amidst the Faye (Jane Gurnett) saga and found her way through it in Emmerdale. But is she set to fall in the trap again?
Mary is almost out the other side with everything Faye has put her through – the trial is looming, which is terrifying as it means Mary will finally find out the fate of her scammer of an ex. Kim’s (Claire King) tough love and April’s (Amelia Flanagan) faith in Mary empowered her to do the right thing and ensure Faye gets sent down.

The day of the trial arrives and now is when Mary learns what form justice will take. She puts her best foot forward and dons a brave face, knowing she’ll have to grit her teeth as she faces the woman who so callously tried to ruin her.

But after she returns home Mary is determined to prove to her family she is moving on and that she’s the strong, confident woman they believe her to be.

She tells them that she has a date and that Faye is well and truly behind her. Rhona (Zoe Henry) and Marlon (Mark Charnock) are impressed to see her demonstrate such strength.
But there’s something big she’s not saying. The next day, she’s evasive about the date and it’s a worrying sign of things to come.
Has she met another bad egg? Or is the date a total fake?
