Ed Sheeran fans lost their minds when the singer brought out rapper and long-time friend Eminem for a duet this weekend.
The Thinking Out Loud hitmaker, 32, surprised the crowd at Ford Field in Detroit during his Mathematics Tour when Eminem, 50, joined him to perform his hit Lose Yourself.
Ed started by teasing the audience, performing an acoustic cover of the song by himself on guitar – and nailing it.
He also teased that his band had only practised the song earlier that day.
‘Let’s see how this goes,’ he said, with the crowd blissfully unaware of what was to come.
The stadium then erupted into screams when Slim Shady himself – real name Marshall Mathers – jumped out and showcased his own incredible rap skills.
Sporting his signature hoodie and jeans, the Without Me hitmaker got the venue going wild as he encouraged them to sing along and held the mic out.
Oh, but the duo didn’t stop there.
In fact, they ended up singing another song – Eminem’s hit Stan.
Teasing the crowd once more, Ed said: ‘He was gonna come on and do one song and I said, “You can’t come on in Detroit and just do one song”.’
‘Do you want another song?’, he asked, already knowing the answer.
The pair then burst into the 2000s tune, with Ed singing verses originally performed by Dido.
Thanking the crowd after his surprise performance, Eminem said: ‘I appreciate you, Detroit. I love you!’

Reacting to the incredible moment, social media users were riddled with FOMO.
‘LEGENDARY!!!🔥🔥🔥’, one Instagram user commented.
‘Best moment ever. 😩 I’m going to be talking about this moment until I’m in the ground’, wrote another.
‘THE GOATS 🤯🔥’, another declared.
It’s no secret that Ed and Eminem are good friends, but fans also noted how the duet was a ‘full circle’ moment for the British star, who has spoken about being a big fan of Em’s.
In fact, Eminem and his music – The Marshall Mathers LP specifically – even helped Ed overcome his childhood stutter.
Speaking to Howard Stern, Ed previously said: ‘I was going through all sorts of speech therapy.

‘When I was nine, my uncle bought me The Marshall Mathers LP, and he just said to my dad, “This guy’s the next Bob Dylan, you gotta let him listen”.’
‘My dad didn’t really clock it,’ he continued.
‘He was just like, “Ok, Edward’s gonna go and listen to that.” And by learning that record and rapping it back to back to back to back, it cured my stutter. And I stopped… talking like that.’
The Grammy winners have collaborated a couple of times over the years, including on Eminem’s single River and Ed’s 2019 tune Remember The Name, also featuring 50 Cent.
