Melissa Suffield, an EastEnders star, is continuing to raise body confidence on her ever-growing Instagram page and has responded perfectly to a weight shaming troll on her latest post.
The actress, known for her role as Lucy Beale, runs a parenting blog and posts body-positive posts on her social media, encouraging her followers to embrace their true selves.
In Melissa’s latest post, she is seen in pink lingerie with a wire-free bra.
She wrote alongside: ‘On Wednesdays we wear pink. And go wire free’.
Melissa’s post of course attracted many positive and kind comments, with one follower saying: ‘You look absolutely incredible!! Thank you for showing REAL bodies!! We all don’t have the money for surgery and some of us just appreciate our bodies birthing babies and eating whatever we want without starving of ourselves and spending all day away from the kids in the gym!!’.
Within the comments there was, sadly, a negative, hateful one from a troll.
They wrote: ‘It’s not clever to promote being overweight. All you are doing is encouraging laziness. Do more, eat less’.
However, iconic Melissa had the perfect response and said: ‘It’s not clever to promote being a d***, yet here you are’.
*Applause*
Melissa recently opened up about a change in family dynamic, revealing that her partner, Robert, had left home once more for his work on a cruise ship, leaving Melissa and their son, River, alone for four months.
