Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) and Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) grow close in EastEnders soon – and it could mean his relationship with Denise Fox (Diane Parish) is put in jeapordy.

Jack and Stacey have been spending a lot of time together ever since Lily’s (Lillia Turner) pregnancy was revealed. The two characters spent months discussing what was best for Lily and Ricky (Frankie Day), and had to attend multiple meetings to show a variety of people the Slaters and Brannings were capable of helping Lily and Ricky bring up baby Charli.

Coming up, Stacey once again needs all the support she can get ahead of Theo’s (William Ellis) hearing.

After planning to meet up with him, Stacey tries to manipulate Theo into pleading guilty by promising to restart their ‘relationship’ once he’s served his time.

However, Stacey starts to worry if she’s made the situation worse when Theo reacts badly to her suggestion.

In the week, Jean (Gillian Wright) tries to discourage Stace from attending the hearing but she ends up going, with Martin (James Bye) and Jack attending alongside her.

Back in Walford, Jack comforts a drunken Stacey after she tearfully confesses her fears about Theo.

Jack takes her back home to sober up where Sam (Kim Medcalf), who is temporarily living there, tells Jack about her dislike of the Slaters.

Once alone, Jack is completely shocked when Stacey admits that she planted the wrench on Theo in order to cover up Freddie’s (Bobby Brazier) actions and make it look as though Theo tried to attack her.
