Danielle Harold has wowed viewers in the past few weeks with her portrayal of Lola Pearce’s devastating brain tumour story, but she is soon set to swap EastEnders for another poignant television role, alongside a familiar face from Coronation Street.
Danielle has signed up for Celebrity Hunted for Stand Up to Cancer. The show will see her trying to evade capture by the hunters in order to raise money for the charity.
For this new venture, she has teamed up with Kimberly Hart Simpson, best known for playing Nicky Wheatley in rival soap Coronation Street.
Since filming began, the pair have been taking to social media to tease the hunters, who are determined to track them down. A risky strategy, considering the aim of the game is to stay hidden for as long as possible.
Posting on her Instagram story, Danielle shared pictures and videos of the hunters outside the window, showing just how close they were to finding them.

‘So close yet so far,’ she captioned one of the photos, followed by two crying laughing faces.
She made sure to tag the hunters in the post in order to goad them and show off the soap stars’ victory.
She also added a photo of herself and Kimberly hiding under a blanket, saying that they were playing ‘hide and seek’.

This comes just days after the pair posted a video from a boat to Kimberly’s Instagram stories, where they addressed the hunters directly while enjoying a bottle of champagne.
‘Hi hunters! We thought we’d just give you a little message and maybe a cheeky little clue, because clearly you’re doing rubbish,’ Danielle said.
‘So we thought we’d help you out a little bit.’
Kimberly added: ‘We’re having a lovely time on our holidays and here’s to you, hunters!’

Celebrity Hunted is Danielle’s first TV role after leaving EastEnders, with character Lola set to tragically die from her brain tumour in upcoming scenes.
Talking to The Sun about this new venture, a source said: ‘After filming’s Lola’s storyline, Danielle is keen to do whatever she can to help raise money for the fight against cancer.
‘She will throw herself into the show and hopefully stay hidden long enough to beat the Hunters.’
Since leaving Coronation Street, Kimberly has also appeared on Celebs Go Dating – The Mansion.
