New EastEnders credits have shown a haunting look at how melting ice caps as a result of climate change may impact London.
After tonight’s episode, a look at the map of the capital city showed the potential result of burst banks from the Thames.
The eye-opening scene aired as a way to mark the final episode of Frozen Planet II, a series which has hit home the reality of how global warming will irreversibly change the world forever.
Jack Bootle, Head of Commissioning, Specialist Factual, shared of the credits: ‘Over the course of Frozen Planet II, we have encountered some of the world’s most remarkable animals and discovered some of the challenges they face due to a warming climate.
‘As we get ready for the final episode of the series, I hope this striking image will remind viewers that what happens in the coldest parts of the world directly impacts us here in the UK.’
